velada is a production house — sound, lighting, dj, and the quieter craft of composing an evening from the room outward.
we believe a night is a composition, not a setup. fixture placement, haze density, the timing of when the lights come down, the song that opens the dance floor — these are not afterthoughts. they are the thing.
we work across south florida — key biscayne, coconut grove, pinecrest, coral gables, brickell, and the homes and venues in between.

founded by mateo bernal.
velada was founded by mateo bernal — a producer, dj, and designer working out of miami. the company grew out of years of running sound and lighting for private events around south florida, and the conviction that the production was always worth more attention than it was getting.
mateo also performs as dj capu when the night calls for it.
the team.
velada works with a small circle of roadies and lighting technicians for productions that need a second pair of hands on site. for larger events, additional crew is brought in from a trusted network across miami.
all coordination, design, and quotes go through mateo directly.
